Edoardo Campanile

Edoardo graduated from the University of Milan, Italy, with a Bachelor's degree in International Relations, and subsequently obtained a Master's degree in Middle Eastern Studies from Lund University, Sweden. Besides his university studies, he obtained two diplomas from the Italian Institute for International Political Studies, delving into the geopolitics of the Middle East, European security, and cooperation and development.

He published several pieces of work, including academic articles, book chapters, magazine contributions, and online analyses, while collaborating with esteemed think tanks and institutions across three countries, namely Italy, Sweden, and Türkiye.

His research interests focus on the Mediterranean region and the intertwining of political, economic, military, and environmental factors across it. More specifically, he analyses the forms and trajectories of Turkish foreign policy in the Mediterranean and beyond through military, economic, and soft power tools, as well as the interaction of political and environmental factors in the effort toward sustainability.

His most recent work includes the analysis of water security in Cyprus, the importance of Türkiye's health diplomacy initiatives abroad, and the development of the energy sector in the Eastern Mediterranean.
